The Authority distributed food to more than 220 low-income groups.

The Addis Ababa City Administration Food and Drug Authority distributed food to low-income groups in Arada Branch Office, Woreda Four, and Gulele Branch Office, on the occasion of the 2nd World Food Day.

The Authority used the day to coordinate the investors under the institution and support the weak, strengthen cooperation, and strengthen unity, showing that diversity is the beauty of Ethiopia.

The Deputy General Manager of the Authority’s Competence Sector, Ms. Tigust Bedada, who attended the food distribution, conveyed her congratulatory message and stated that the Authority is carrying out various activities in fulfilling its social responsibility in addition to ensuring that the community receives standard food and health services. They thanked the investors for their good deeds in achieving this work and sharing the Eid.

The manager also conveyed her message to the community to develop a culture of shopping by purchasing from establishments that have the legal qualification certificate of the authority and ensuring that the product has not expired in order to benefit from healthy food and beverage services in the upcoming Eid. She also urged them to report illegal practices and frauds occurring during the Eid to the institution's toll-free hotline 8864 or to fulfill their social responsibility by providing suggestions to the regulations in their area.

Finally, the city's chief executives, the council speaker, district heads, and drugstore owners attended and shared the Eid.
