The Qualification Assurance Sector of the Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority held a discussion with the branch directorates, team leaders and cluster heads of the sector from the center to the cluster on the activities carried out in the first quarter of the fiscal year.

At the forum, the Directorate of Qualification Assurance of Health Institutions and Professionals, Ato Tadesse Wordofa, explained that in the first quarter of the fiscal year, 1735 health institutions and 1628 drug retailers were renewed, 3392 Master Facility (MFR) registrations were conducted, 782 documents were verified, and 4218 health professionals were renewed.

Ms. Bezawit Girma, Director of the Food and Health Qualifications Directorate, for her part, presented in detail the renewal of qualification certificates for 5427 institutions in the first quarter, the work done in the implementation of technology, the problems and concerns encountered, and the future focus areas.

Selected branch offices and clusters also presented in detail the main activities carried out in the first quarter of the fiscal year and an extensive discussion was held.

Finally, Ms. Tagist Bedada, Deputy Director of the Authority's Qualifications Sector, emphasized that the ideas and comments raised were good, that the performance was good and that this should be continued, that the tasks assigned to us should be carried out properly, that institutions should be promoted to be renovated in a timely manner, that care should be taken in the work practices that are written, and that we should further strengthen our use of technology and improve our service delivery.
