The Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority (ADFA) branch office is working with the police, law enforcement, security forces, school principals and stakeholders to make Addis Ababa free from tobacco smoke.
The office is carrying out extensive campaign and awareness-raising activities at the city level under the slogan "Let's expose the ways to nicotine and tobacco addiction!" based on World No Tobacco Day, with the aim of protecting the generation from tobacco smoke and fulfilling their role.
The focus is on teachers, security forces, and stakeholders to protect the community, especially youth and students, from tobacco smoke, educate them about the health risks of tobacco, and fulfill their responsibilities as facilitators of control.
