Orientation on Government Service and Administration Reform was given.

Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority gave an orientation to branch office managers and general employees on the Government Service and Administration Reform Competency Assessment.

During the orientation, the Authority’s Administrative Sector Deputy General Manager, Ato Fisa Abera, presented a detailed discussion on the importance of the reform, the underlying issues of the reform, the objectives of the reform, the main focus areas, the activities to be carried out and key performance indicators, and the activities and arrangements to be implemented to measure the reform.

Finally, the Authority’s Regulatory Sector Deputy General Manager, Ato Enga Erekta, while providing clarification on the issues that arose from the discussion and needed clarification, stated that the reform is nationwide and that the importance of the reform needs to be understood.

Furthermore, he noted that the reform aims to build a free, independent and competent civil service that provides efficient and effective services that ensure transparency, accountability, diversity and inclusiveness, and contributes significantly to the achievement of development goals.
