Addis Ababa Food and Drug Authority Kirkos Branch Office has coordinated with private health institutions to provide free medical support to the beneficiaries of the Tesfa Birhan Center in Woreda 9 and 10 of the city.
Kirkos Food and Drug Authority Branch Office Manager Mr. Alemnesh Abay said that in this free medical charity work, 38 health professionals are participating in 11 private health institutions and 600 community members of the center are being provided with free health screening and medical services for eye, dental, skin and general internal diseases.
Deputy Manager of the Authority’s Competency Assurance Sector, Ms. Tegis, who was present at the event, explained that the Dada Authority is playing its role in coordinating with private health institutions to ensure the benefit of the community.
He added that the beneficiaries of the center have been provided with appropriate medical care and have created a prerequisite for them to benefit from sustainable health services in the future.
The Deputy Manager also thanked the health institutions and general coordinators for their cooperation in making the good work successful, noting that such activities strengthen the relationship between health institutions and centers and build sustainable community-wide support.
